On the second day, the tour moves to Sogut-the cradle of Ottoman history-where you shall visit the Ertugrul Gazi Tomb, witness the traditional Alps Changing Ceremony, and delve into culture at the Ottoman Timeline Park. Day 1: Bursa tour
- We will pick you up from the hotel in the early hours of the morning, making our way to the historic town of Bursa.
- Our first stop is the Great Mosque, perhaps the finest masterpiece of Ottoman architectural skills.
- Next, we’ll visit the Green Tomb, renowned for its exquisite early Ottoman design, and the nearby Green Mosque, featuring vibrant tiles and a serene atmosphere.
- At Kozahan Silk Market, you’ll experience the lively history of Bursa, once a hub for traders and artisans.
- Before finishing the day, we’ll stop by the ancient Inkaya Tree, a living symbol of the past.
- We’ll then head to the hotel in Bursa for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Sogut Tour (Breakfast)
- We will check out after breakfast and visit the sacred tombs of Orhan Gazi and Osman Gazi, the founders of the Ottoman Empire. Next, we’ll head to Sogut and Bilecik, where history comes alive.
- In Bilecik, we’ll explore the Ottoman Timeline Park, an outdoor museum showcasing the empire’s story through fascinating exhibits and sculptures.
- In Sogut, we’ll pay our respects at the tombs of Sheik Edebali and Bala Hatun, pivotal figures in Ottoman history, before visiting the Ertugrul Gazi Tomb, a tribute to the legendary founder of the Ottoman Dynasty.
- We’ll also witness the Alps Changing Ceremony, a moving ritual celebrating the bravery of Ottoman warriors. There will be time to take photos, shop for traditional Alp and Hatun clothing, and find unique souvenirs.
- At the end of the tour, we’ll return to Istanbul and drop you off at your hotel.
