Step back in time as you visit three of Asia Minor’s fascinating ancient cities: Priene, Miletus, and Didyma. At Priene, admire the Temple of Athena, the Bouleuterion, and the Theater, learning about the city’s connections with the philosopher Bias and the Ionian League. Then proceed to Miletus, a once-thriving center for arts, sciences, and philosophies, where the grand theater and Faustina Baths still stand, nd learn of the harbor’s lighthouse becoming the inspiration for the Olympic torch. Finally, the visit ends at Didyma, an ancient sacred sanctuary famous for the colossal Temple of Apollo, famed oracle, and stunning Medusa head carved into stone. This tenure offers the unique opportunity for a stirring journey into the cultural, spiritual, and academic creation of the ancient Ionian world.
