Just above is Hierapolis, a Greco-Roman city with a grand amphitheater, vast necropolis, and famous Cleopatra’s Pool, where columns from ancient history lay beneath the water. From Ephesus, considered one of the greatest cities of the ancient world and one of the early Christian sacred sites, walk on marble to witness the Library of Celsus, Basilica of St John, and the remains of the Temple of Artemis, formerly a Wonder of the Ancient World. Lastly, explore the storybook beauty of Cappadocia, where fairy chimneys, cave churches, and vast underworld cities are hidden beneath an otherworldly landscape.
