Itinerary

2-Day Ephesus and Pamukkale Tour from Istanbul by Plane explores the most popular destinations of the Aegean shores. There are two most iconic attractions of Turkey where ancient history and natural beauty come together. In Ephesus, ancient marble streets where Saint Paul and Saint John also walked, lay in front of you; the city could once accommodate 250,000 people and more! Here one can also see the remains of the mystical Temple of Artemis – a temple among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. On the slopes of Bulbul Mountain, not far away, pilgrims continue to be welcomed at the House of the Virgin Mary from all over the world. Next on your itinerary will be Pamukkale, a shining scintilla that towers as the “Cotton Castle” with white calcium terraces that flow down the hillsides from mineral-laden hot springs with a reputation for healing from time immemorial. High above these terraces lies an ancient city: Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with an impressive Roman theater, necropolis, Temple of Apollo, and the famous Cleopatra’s Pool, where fallen columns rest beneath the water. The three cities of Ephesus, Pamukkale, and Hierapolis offer unforgettable experiences of history, faith, and natural beauty.
