Itinerary

This 12-day Turkey tour combines Istanbul, Bursa, Pergamon, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Antalya, Konya and Cappadocia in one organised itinerary. The route brings together Ottoman landmarks, major ancient cities, Mediterranean archaeological sites and the distinctive landscapes of central Turkey.

The programme begins in Istanbul with a Bosphorus dinner cruise before continuing to Bursa and the ancient city of Pergamon. You will then visit Ephesus and Pamukkale, followed by Perge, Aspendos and Side in the Antalya region. After travelling through Konya, the tour continues to Cappadocia for two full days of guided sightseeing.

The final part of the journey returns to Istanbul for a guided Old City tour. Domestic flights, accommodation, scheduled transfers and guided sightseeing are arranged as part of the package.

12-Day Turkey Tour Package Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Istanbul and Bosphorus Dinner Cruise (Dinner)

  • Upon arrival in Istanbul, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
  • In the evening, you will join a dinner cruise on the Bosphorus. During the cruise, you can see Istanbul’s illuminated waterfront, palaces, bridges and historic buildings from the water.
  • Dinner and traditional entertainment are included during the cruise.
  • At the end of the evening, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
  • Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2: Bursa Tour (Breakfast)

  • After breakfast, you will leave Istanbul and travel to Bursa, the first major capital of the Ottoman Empire.
  • During the tour, you will visit the Grand Mosque, Green Mosque, Green Tomb and Koza Han Silk Market. Your guide will explain Bursa’s role in early Ottoman history and its importance as a centre of silk production and trade.
  • Depending on the programme and local conditions, there may also be time to explore part of the historic centre.
  • At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel.
  • Overnight in Bursa.

Day 3: Pergamon Tour (Breakfast)

  • After breakfast, you will travel to Pergamon, one of the most important ancient cities of the Hellenistic and Roman periods.
  • You will visit the Acropolis, where the remains include the Theatre of Pergamon, the Temple of Trajan and other monumental structures. Your guide will explain the city’s political, cultural and religious importance in the ancient world.
  • The programme may also include the Asclepion, an important ancient healing centre, depending on the daily schedule and site access.
  • At the end of the tour, you will continue to Kusadasi.
  • Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 4: Ephesus Tour (Breakfast – Dinner)

  • After breakfast, you will visit the House of the Virgin Mary, traditionally associated with the final years of Mary’s life.
  • You will then continue to Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the Mediterranean. During the tour, you will walk along the marble streets and see major landmarks including the Library of Celsus, Great Theatre, Temple of Hadrian, Agora and other important remains from the Roman period.
  • The programme also includes the Ephesus Experience Museum and the Temple of Artemis, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
  • At the end of the tour, you will return to your hotel.
  • Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 5: Pamukkale and Hierapolis Tour (Breakfast)

  • After breakfast, you will travel to Pamukkale and visit the ancient city of Hierapolis.
  • You will explore important remains including the theatre, necropolis, Roman baths, monumental gates and other structures from the Roman and Byzantine periods.
  • You will then continue to Pamukkale’s white travertine terraces, where you will have time to walk on the permitted sections and enjoy the views across the valley.
  • Swimming in Cleopatra’s Antique Pool is optional and requires a separate entrance fee.
  • At the end of the tour, you will continue to Antalya.
  • Overnight in Antalya.

Day 6: Perge, Aspendos and Side Tour (Breakfast)

  • After breakfast, you will visit Perge, one of the most important ancient cities of the Pamphylian region. You will explore its Roman streets, baths, agora, stadium and other monumental remains.
  • You will then continue to Aspendos, known for its well-preserved Roman theatre.
  • The final visit is Side, an ancient harbour city where archaeological remains stand close to the modern Mediterranean town. You will see landmarks such as the Temple of Apollo and have time to explore the surrounding area.
  • At the end of the tour, you will return to your hotel.
  • Overnight in Antalya.

Day 7: Konya Tour and Transfer to Cappadocia (Breakfast)

  • After breakfast, you will leave Antalya and travel towards Konya.
  • During the visit, you will see the Mevlana Museum, dedicated to the poet, scholar and Sufi teacher Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi. Your guide will explain the history of the Mevlevi tradition and Konya’s importance as a religious and cultural centre.
  • The programme may also include a visit to the Selimiye Mosque and other nearby landmarks, depending on the daily schedule.
  • After the tour, you will continue to Cappadocia.
  • Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 8: Northern Cappadocia Tour (Breakfast)

  • An optional Cappadocia hot-air balloon flight can be arranged early in the morning, subject to availability and weather conditions.
  • After breakfast, you will begin exploring northern Cappadocia. The programme includes the Goreme Open-Air Museum, where you will see rock-cut churches and chapels decorated with Byzantine frescoes.
  • You will also visit locations such as Uchisar, Pasabag, Devrent Valley and Avanos, depending on the daily route. In Avanos, you can learn about the region’s traditional pottery-making techniques.
  • At the end of the tour, you will return to your hotel.
  • Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 9: Southern Cappadocia Tour (Breakfast)

  • After breakfast, you will visit a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the valleys and rock formations of Cappadocia.
  • You will then explore one of the region’s underground cities, where you will see tunnels, storage rooms, kitchens, ventilation shafts and living spaces carved beneath the ground.
  • The programme may also include Red Valley, Cavusin, Love Valley and Pigeon Valley, depending on the daily operating route. Some sections may involve walking on uneven terrain.
  • At the end of the tour, you will return to your hotel.
  • Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 10: Flight from Cappadocia to Istanbul (Breakfast)

  • After breakfast, you will have free time according to your domestic flight schedule.
  • You will then be transferred to the airport for your flight to Istanbul.
  • Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
  • The rest of the day will be free.
  • Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 11: Classical Istanbul City Tour (Breakfast)

  • After breakfast, you will meet your guide and begin a full-day tour of Istanbul’s historic Old City.
  • The programme includes Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Roman Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace and the Basilica Cistern.
  • You will also visit the Grand Bazaar, subject to its opening days and operating hours.
  • The order of visits may change according to opening hours, prayer times, restoration work and local conditions.
  • At the end of the tour, you will return to your hotel.
  • Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 12: Departure from Istanbul (Breakfast)

  • After breakfast, you will have free time until your scheduled airport transfer.
  • You will be picked up from your hotel according to the departure time of your international flight and transferred to the airport.
  • This marks the end of your 12-day Turkey tour package.

Hotels and transfers are generally accessible, but some archaeological sites, underground cities and valley routes have uneven ground, stairs or limited step-free access. Your guide will use the most suitable available routes, allow extra time where needed and help you visit as many of the planned sites as possible.

The tour includes regular walking at archaeological sites, historic areas and Cappadocia valleys, where uneven ground, slopes and stairs are common. However, your guide will adjust the pace, include rest breaks and help plan the visits so you can see as much as possible comfortably.

Comfortable walking shoes and layered clothing are recommended, as temperatures can vary between Istanbul, the Aegean coast, Antalya and Cappadocia. A hat, sun protection and a light jacket are useful in most seasons.
