Terms & Conditions
‼️You confirm that you acknowledge the terms below by using the services provided by puertotravel.com.
Booking and Payment Details
Before the booking is confirmed and the payment made, customers are informed of the final details of the tour service they will receive. After both sides agree on the itinerary and price, a 30% prepayment is required from the customer to confirm the booking. The remaining amount must be paid before the tour begins. The deposit can be made with a credit card (via a secure online payment). Tax is included in all the prices we offer.
Security of Personal Information
We ensure that all the information you share on puertotravel.com will be used only for booking purposes. Third parties cannot access this information by standard means. We don’t share any of our customers’ information unless a legal requirement demands such action.
Definition of the Service
Puerto Travel Company is obliged to provide the services indicated on the specific tour and transfer pages. This includes a tour guide, transportation, and entrance fees for tourist spots unless otherwise stated. All other personal expenses (tips, drinks, laundry, souvenirs, etc.) are not included in the service.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans may change, and we strive to make our cancellation process as fair and transparent as possible. Our policy differs slightly depending on the type of service booked:
🚢 Shore Excursions
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. We work with carefully selected local guides and drivers who plan their day around your booking. Early notice allows them to potentially secure alternative work, and helps us maintain our commitment to fair working practices.
🧳 Tour Packages
If you need to cancel your booking, please send a written notification from the lead traveler by acknowledged email. Cancellation fees are calculated based on the number of days prior to departure when your notice is received:
- More than 40 days before departure: A cancellation fee of €50 will apply.
- Between 40 and 20 days before departure: 50% of the total booking value will be charged.
- Less than 20 days before departure or no notice: 100% of the total booking value will be charged.
‼️Public Holidays and Special Occasions
During public holidays or on special occasions, these terms may be modified. If so, we will inform you in writing before your travel date.
❌Please note that the cancellation policy does not cover flight tickets.
Company Liability & Force Majeure
- Company Cancellation Guarantee: In the highly unlikely event that Puerto Travel must cancel a confirmed tour due to internal organizational reasons (e.g., vehicle breakdown, unforeseen staffing issue), we guarantee a 100% full refund of all amounts paid to us.
- Unforeseen Circumstances (Force Majeure): Puerto Travel is not liable for changes, delays, or cancellations resulting from events beyond our control. This includes, but is not limited to, severe weather (e.g., balloon or ferry cancellations), natural disasters, epidemics, government actions, or civil unrest.
- Resolution During Force Majeure: Should an unavoidable event prevent your tour from operating, we commit to offering you the choice of:
- Rescheduling the tour for a future date.
- Receiving a credit for the full value paid.
- Receiving a refund for the amount paid, minus any non-recoverable costs (e.g., confirmed, non-refundable third-party payments like hotel deposits or certain flight components).
- Itinerary Adjustments: We reserve the right to modify the itinerary due to safety or operational necessities (e.g., substituting a museum if it is unexpectedly closed, or changing the site order). Any such change will be made with the customer’s safety and best experience as our priority.
Flight & Baggage Policy
- Flight Tickets are Final: All domestic flight tickets purchased for your tour are non-refundable and non-changeable once issued. They are subject to the individual airline’s terms and conditions, not Puerto Travel’s.
- Baggage Allowance: The standard allowance for Turkish domestic flights is typically 15kg (33 lbs) for checked luggage and 8kg (17 lbs) for cabin/carry-on luggage per person. You are responsible for any excess baggage fees charged by the airline at the airport.
- Schedule Changes: Domestic airline schedules are subject to change by the carrier. While rare, Puerto Travel is not responsible for time changes or cancellations made by the airline. We will always notify you immediately and work to adjust your itinerary accordingly.
- Check-in Responsibility: You must present valid photo identification (passport or national ID) at the airline counter for check-in. Our guides or drivers will ensure you reach the airport but are not responsible for the check-in process.
Children & Infants Policy
- Age Limits and Pricing: Children are welcome on all our tours. Guests aged 7 and younger are typically eligible for discounted rates. Children under the age of 3 may travel free of charge but must be booked in advance to ensure appropriate seating and vehicle capacity.
- Car Seat Requirement: For the safety and compliance of the tour vehicle, all infants and children must occupy their own seat. If an infant car seat is required, you must notify us at the time of booking so we can ensure the appropriate safety equipment is available.
Hotel & Substitution Policy
- Accommodation Standard: We guarantee that all hotels included in your package are maintained at a 4-star standard or higher. They are carefully selected for their comfort, security, and convenient location near city centers or main transport links.
- Substitution Rights: In the rare event that a specific hotel mentioned in your itinerary becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, Puerto Travel reserves the right to substitute a hotel of equal or superior quality and rating at no additional cost to you. We will always notify you of any necessary changes as soon as possible.
Travel Documentation & Responsibility
- Passport and Visa Requirements: You are solely responsible for ensuring that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return travel date and for obtaining any necessary visas or electronic travel authorizations (e.g., e-Visa) required for entry into Turkey. Puerto Travel is not responsible for denial of entry due to lack of proper documentation.
- Health and Insurance: We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation fees, medical emergencies, and luggage loss. While our guides are first-aid trained, medical and travel insurance is the customer’s responsibility.
You need to send an email to puertotraveltr@gmail.com to request a cancellation.
