Itinerary

With the 2-Day Cappadocia Tour from Istanbul, set in the heart of Turkey, Cappadocia seems pulled out straight from a fairy tale, where wondrous landscapes rise against the backdrop of rich history, which is centuries old. Since antiquity, the region has been thought worthy for its tall fairy chimneys, underground cities, and valleys that look much like the surface of the moon. Mentioned in early Christian literature and borne with cave churches cut in soft volcanic rocks, the region offers a wonder of nature and culture. Exploring its valleys by foot or sailing in a hot-air balloon above them greet the traveler into a memory where history and nature merge.

Yes, this is an all-inclusive package. The price covers your round-trip domestic flight tickets (Istanbul-Cappadocia and Cappadocia-Istanbul) and 1 night of accommodation in Cappadocia.

For the smoothest experience, your flight from Istanbul should be scheduled to arrive in Cappadocia early in the morning on Day 1. Your return flight should depart from Cappadocia late in the evening on Day 2 to ensure you complete both tours fully.

Yes, lunch is included on both Day 1 (Northern Cappadocia) and Day 2 (Southern Cappadocia) for Small Group Tour guests. For Private Tour guests, lunch is not included; however, your guide will happily assist you in selecting a preferred restaurant. Drinks are not included in either option.

The tour includes a 4 km hike through Red Valley. The walk is generally considered light to moderate and requires comfortable walking shoes. The trail is manageable for most fitness levels but involves walking on uneven terrain.

Kaymakli Underground City involves walking through narrow and low tunnels with some stairs. While fascinating, it may be challenging for guests with severe claustrophobia or significant mobility issues.

No, the hot air balloon flights take place at sunrise, before this tour begins. The balloon ride is optional and must be booked separately for an early morning experience on Day 2.

Comfortable walking shoes are essential for the hikes and uneven ground. We recommend dressing in layers, bringing a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen for sun exposure.

Due to the natural and historical terrain, especially the narrow tunnels of Kaymakli Underground City and the hiking trail in Red Valley, the sites may be challenging for strollers or wheelchairs. Your guide can advise you on the most accessible routes.
